Message I've read a few of your post on 3zc, I know you know your stuff. It was actually one of your post that made me get R4+ cams over the R5's!

A rota friend of mine did thermal barrier coats on his manifolds and the turbine side of the turbos. Normally the compressor side is polished for the bling factor. HPC coating (a company) told me that a rotary they sponsored gained around 10% performance and reduced engine temp by 30% purely from coatings. I was a bit skeptical of that though.

From my understanding TLTD coatings are most effective when there is moving air around it. Our turbos are pretty well hidden. For me coating the intercoolers was a good idea, I've seen enough data and heard enough first count experiences for me to justify it.
